The Pharmacy Department at MSK utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, where the emphasis is on therapeutic efficacy and safety. We provide comprehensive, clinical and dispensing services in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings through a decentralized satellite pharmacy services model.
We are seeking a Pharmacist to join our Retail and Med Reconciliation team located in our new Koch Center located on East 74 th Street.
Highly motivated to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a large team in a busy and stressful setting.
A fast learner and be able to evaluate new information with speed and accuracy.
Detail oriented and willing to adapt to changes in workflow to improve patient care.
Review and process take home prescriptions in EnterpriseRx system as per MSKCC policy and state regulations.
Review and process investigational orders in accordance with corresponding protocol and institutional policies.
Perform non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous compounding as per guidelines and procedures.
Provide patient counseling and medication management.
Complete inpatient Medication Reconciliation upon admission and discharge.
Coordinate services with all MSK departments of patient care (including nursing, medical teams, discharge planning, outpatient clinic, pain service, Investigational Drug Service, patient financial service and International center).
Coordinate services with main campus, offsite pharmacies and regional sites.
Perform, maintain and reconcile accurate perpetual inventory, including commercial, investigational agents and narcotics.
Assist with research study monitor visits.
Assist with pharmacy inspections and audits.
Assist with copay collection using Emporos (POS) system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
NY State Pharmacy license
2+ years of experience as a pharmacist, retail experience is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills is a must.
8 am to 7 pm, hours will vary.
Weekend and holiday coverage will be required.
Hours may change based on clinic needs.
