Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Salem Health is seeking an experienced PA to join our hospital-based Gynecological Oncology team. Our reputable program is transitioning from contracted provider service, and we are welcoming our first of two new employed physicians summer 2019.
This unique position offers the PA the opportunity to assist our Physicians in creating new structure within a well-established practice. Our current practice includes Gynecology/Oncology physicians contracted through OHSU who will be transitioning out as we bring in our new employed physicians. The practice also has this PA position, one nationally certified Oncology Certified Nurses (OCN), one Medical Assistant, two Oncology techs to help room and intake patients, as well as a Referral Specialist to assist with insurance authorizations.
This position is part-time, 30 hours/week.
Current clinic days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Friday is optional. This is subject to change.
There are 4 exam rooms in clinic (includes one bariatric room).
The GYN ONC clinic works in collaboration with other providers including the Salem Health Medical Group – Surgery and Gynecology Clinics. Our close-knit team manage a variety of diagnostic techniques and management procedures, such as surgery on reproductive organs, radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

You may be a qualified candidate if you:
Are a graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Have at least two (2) years of experience as an oncology surgical Physician Assistant; or have post graduate specialty training in oncology.
Hold certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Hold PA licensure through the Oregon Medical Board.
Hold SA-C certification, or are able to obtain within one (1) year of hire.
