UWMC is operated by the University of Washington (UW) and serves as a training site for UW's School of Medicine.The UWMC INPATIENT PHARMACY PURCHASING TEAM has an outstanding opportunity for a TEMPORARY/HOURLY PURCHASING PHARMACY ASSISTANT (DAY SHIFTS). Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Purchasing Pharmacy Assistant will perform technical and/or specialized pharmaceutical activities in the UWMC Inpatient Pharmacy/Purchasing Department, including:
Receive large totes of medications from distributors
Load and unload frequently heavy materials in the hospital pharmacy
Inventory and re-stock designated areas of the pharmacy
Perform basic computer functions for receiving medications and put away on shelves
Assist with manual billing, processing of interdepartmental changes for medications in multiple pharmacy computer databases
Assist with filing department paperwork, invoice, and shipping receipts
