This position will provide clinical services to patients of all ages in primary care and specialty care clinics at Northville Health Center. The job includes providing bio-psychosocial assessments, care management services, crisis intervention and safety planning, referrals to community resources, patient education, family interventions, grief counseling, some short-term evidence-based behavioral health interventions, and some provision of tangibles.

Master’s degree (MSW) in social work from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education
Current clinic license (LMSW) to practice social work in the State of Michigan, with clinical certification
LLMSWs will not be considered for this position
Capable of making effective, independent judgment calls in a variety of demanding situations
Must be flexible, adaptive, and able to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
Significant experience with medical social work, Motivational Interviewing, and experience delivering brief therapeutic interventions drawing on evidence-based psychotherapy models
This is a 40 hour per week (1.0 FTE) position, Mondays through Fridays. Specific hours will be determined with clinic leadership. Some flexibility may be necessary.
This position may be under filled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Advancement through the career ladder at the Expert or Clinical Scholar Level is required for placement in the MSW Senior Classification.
