Position Summary: Incumbent is responsible for delivering social services, including psychosocial evaluation and treatment, advocacy, teaching, referrals to community services, and assisting as needed with discharge planning. Participates in case coverage and other necessary support for other social workers in the Department of Clinical Social Work / Care Coordination. Participates in formal and informal teaching, including supervision of social work graduate students and in-service education for nurses, nursing students, medical residents, fellows, interns, and ancillary staff.
Rate Minimum $67,212.72 Maximum $87,967.44
Required Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystemAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to take call after hours, weekends and holidaysExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExperience in use of psychosocial assessment and psychotherapeutic methods and measuresFamiliarity of Joint Commission, CMS, CDPH and CCS requirementsKnowledge of and ability to work within a complex health care systemCurrent Clinical Social Work License issued by the Board of Behavioral SciencesMaster's Degree in Social WorkLic Clinical Social WorkerMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust possess complete understanding of acuity levels for specific patient populationMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesTwo years of work experience in a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, psychiatric partial hospitalization program or other outpatient psychiatric services
