Conduct phone intake and in person clinical assessment to provide diagnosis and treatment plan for psychiatry patients at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Conduct outpatient psychotherapy using evidence based practices (e.g. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Supportive Psychotherapy). Engage with multi-disciplinary team including members of the Psychiatry department. Attendance at team rounds, student care meeting, and clinical supervision meetings weekly. Provide social work services to Outpatient Gastric Bypass service including facilitation of support and education groups.
Assesses the needs of individuals, performs adaptive tests and psychological screening, provides family counseling, and participates as a member of a developmental team.
Develops community and University resources and makes appropriate referrals.
In a clinical setting, provides brief psychodynamic, cognitive, group, individual, and behavioral psychotherapeutic counseling.
Provides clinical diagnostic evaluation and assessment of clients. Provides emergency and crisis intervention services. Documents all pertinent information.
Provides follow-up care as is necessary, via appointments, visits, or telephone contact with patients, students, families, and/or public health nurses.

Education, Experience and Certifications:
Advanced degree or higher in Social Work from an accredited institution required.
Post secondary work experience in a field related to the field
Licenses and Certification:
Licensed in the State of Illinois, LSW or LCSW required.
Technical Knowledge or Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
