The Social Worker is responsible for utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration to promote student success; provide preventative services, and respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development for all students in accordance with their goals and objectives.
The Social Worker position will assist in the daily functioning of the school, assist in creating and maintaining school district contacts, handle students in crisis, and obtain and be familiar with outside resources to assist students.
Current ISBE Social Worker Certification
Bachelor’s Degree Social Work, or Psychology from an accredited college or university.
Experience working in a school or alternative education setting preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
