University of Pittsburgh Assistant/Associate/Professor in Community Practice Based Research

The University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and creative team - oriented individual for a full-time, calendar year , tenure stream/tenure faculty position at the rank of assistant , associate or professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics. The successful applicant will have expertise in one or more of the following areas with the goal of building healthy and engaged communities: practice-based research , outcomes research; behavioral aspects of medication use; medication therapy management; health care policy; pharmacoepidemiology; population health; data science ; health economics; predictive analytics; and/or outcomes research. The incumbent will be expected to develop a research program with extramural funding and to teach in the professional, graduate, undergraduate, and competency-based programs of the School. The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy and/or PhD degree and training or experience in one of the areas above. Other qualifications and experiences will be considered. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The University is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their leadership, research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
The School of Pharmacy, a leader in education , practice and research, is one of six schools of the health sciences located in the Oakland campus. The School of Pharmacy partners with a wide range of patient care organizations including UPMC, one of the leading integrated health care delivery networks in the country , Giant Eagle Pharmacy, Rite Aid Pharmacy , Pennsylvania Pharmacists Care Network, Allegheny County Health Department, independent pharmacies, Federally Qualified Health Centers and many others , to provide state of the art pharmacy services , patient care, and research. The Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics and UPMC is home to twelve accredited residency programs , pharmacy fellowship training programs, and the Grace Lamsam Pharmacy Program for the Underserved.
