The PCOM School of Pharmacy PGY-1 program, in partnership with WellStar North Fulton Hospital, strives to develop strong clinical practitioners as future leaders in health care. Completion of this 12 month program will prepare residents as clinical pharmacists with the ability to practice in a variety of patient care clinical settings, as well as in academia. As vital members of the healthcare team, residents will have the opportunity to educate other healthcare professionals, patients and students.
Applicants must be graduates of ACPE-Accredited Schools of Pharmacy and must submit the following information into PhorCas: curriculum vitae, official school of pharmacy transcript, three letters of recommendation (at least one from a faculty member and one from a clinical preceptor), letter of intent.
Interviews will take place in the month of February and we will participate in the match in March. Residents will be required to obtain licensure in the state of Georgia by the end of September which includes successful completion of the NAPLEX, MPJE and Georgia Wet Lab.
Required learning experiences include the following: Administration, Academia, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Critical Care, Drug Information, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Oncology.
Longitudinal learning experiences include the following: Operations/Staffing. Research and Teaching & Learning.
Elective learning experiences include the following: Ambulatory Care with the PCOM School of Pharmacy faculty, Cardiology, Neuro-Critical Care, and Nutrition Support which will be available at hospitals within the WellStar healthcare system.

The PCOM School of Pharmacy in partnership with WellStar North Fulton's PGY-1 Residency Program seeks highly qualified applicants to its program which prepares its residents for PGY-2 advanced clinical training and board certification. Our program's required learning experiences include administration, antimicrobial stewardship, internal medicine, drug information, outpatient oncology, emergency medicine, critical care and academia. Longitudinal learning experiences include research, teaching and staffing. Elective opportunities are available with our partnering hospitals within the WellStar Health-Care System. Applications will be received through PhorCas and must include your current Curriculum Vitae, 3 letters of reference (one from clinical preceptor and one from faculty from school of pharmacy), official school transcript and a letter of intent. Selected applicants will be invited for an onsite interview in the month of February.
