Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center’s PGY1 Pharmacy Residency provides post-graduate pharmacists with supportive, one-on-one training to match each resident’s personal goals and interests. Residents receive the experience and mentoring needed to perform as competent, independent clinicians in tomorrow’s challenging healthcare environment. The PGY1 residency program offers a wide range of learning experiences by providing residents the opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary patient care rounds, complete longitudinal medication related projects, serve as a member of site or system committee, complete ACLS/BLS training and precept students.
The Pharmacy Department is staffed by a group of highly motivated pharmacists and technicians who strive to provide innovative services. With many residency trained, board certified pharmacists the department is committed to the provision of safe, effective, evidence-based medicine and works collaboratively to deliver excellent care to all patients.
Decentralized clinical pharmacy services provided to medical, surgical, telemetry, obstetric, pediatric, neonatal, medical and surgical intensive care units as well as an active emergency department
Inpatient medication distribution via utilization of Pyxis and centralized IV preparation
Comprehensive pharmacy services provided to Cancer Center, located at the Center for Advanced Care
Pharmacy-managed Health and Wellness Clinic providing Anticoagulation services
