This residency is a multi-site program, in which residents will have the opportunity to participate in learning experiences offered at several Emory Healthcare sites; Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory University Hospital, The Emory Clinic, and the Emory Winship Cancer Institute. This will include learning experiences across several different settings, such as inpatient, outpatient/ambulatory, administrative, and Specialty Pharmacy.
Residency Special Features: This residency is designed to train the pharmacist to function as an integral member of the multidisciplinary patient care team (with a focus in Specialty Pharmacy Services during outpatient rotations), utilizing evidence-based medicine and aiding in coordination of care. Rotations include internal medicine, infectious diseases, hepatology, oncology (medical and hematological), neurology, administration, and operations. Additional opportunities include obtaining a teaching certificate, grand rounds presentation, research project, ASHP Midyear meeting, and the potential for early commitment to any of Emory Healthcare's PYG-2 programs.
