St. Louis College of Pharmacy is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Pharmacy Law to students in the Pharm.D. program during one of two five week summer terms. Summer Session I is from May 28 through June 28, Session II is July 1 through August 2. Classes will meet for six hours a week over the term and may be scheduled to meet in evenings or during the day depending upon the faculty member’s schedule.
The course is a study of the laws regulating the pharmaceutical industry and the individual practice of pharmacy with emphasis on legal principles as applied by pharmacists in their daily decision-making processes. Students will acquire an understanding of the laws, regulations, and the ethical responsibilities applicable to pharmacists so that they will be able to protect the public and ensure patients’ well-being.
Pharm.D. with training or work experience in pharmacy laws and regulations. J.D. preferred.
A minimum of one-year experience in college level teaching is desired.
Demonstrated strong English language verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly in written and oral form to a variety of audiences
Experience with course management systems, such as Moodle, is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with today's students.
