The PGY1 pharmacy residency program at East Jefferson General Hospital builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two.
Core Rotations: Orientation, Family Practice, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, and Investigation Drug Services
Longitudinal Experiences: Management, Drug Information, Clinical Integration, Medication Therapy Management and Informatics
Elective Experiences: Infectious Disease, Oncology, Oncology/Academia, Cardiology and Emergency Medicine
Graduate of ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with a Pharm.D or equivalent
Hold an active pharmacy license, or be eligible for licensure.
