The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology invite applications for faculty position in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology.
The re-creation of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology is part of the exciting growth of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology under the leadership of Vanessa M. Barnabei, MD, PhD as Professor and Chair and Great Lakes Health and the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.
Over the past 18 months, there has been tremendous growth in Buffalo and the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. A new ambulatory care site, Conventus, opened in downtown Buffalo in February of 2017, as a joint venture between the Jacobs School and Kaleida Health. The opening of the new Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and Oishei Children’s Hospital in November 2017 were also key parts of this strategic development of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, on the campus with Buffalo General Hospital, the flagship adult hospital for Kaleida Health. The successful applicant for this position will be an academic gynecologic oncologist with the proven values and skills to contribute to a clinical, educational and research enterprise. The applicant will demonstrate the commitment to these missions that typifies the best in academic medicine and will work with our partners in Kalelda Health to grow the Cancer Care program to better serve the residents of Western New York.
