This 12-month ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency emphasizes the practice of pharmaceutical care across the continuum of care within an integrated health care delivery network. The program is designed to meet the individualized personal and professional goals of the resident. The residency experience includes acute care (critical care, cardiology, antimicrobial stewardship, internal medicine), family medicine, long-term care, ambulatory care, medication-use management, leadership, and elective time for areas of interest to the resident (including oncology and emergency medicine). The resident provides education to and interacts with patients, students, medical residents, and other members of the health care team. The program offers two full-time Pharmacist Resident positions.
Pharm.D. preferred. Eligible for licensure in Iowa, curriculum vitae, college transcripts, three letters of reference, and personal letter of application required.
