St. Joseph's residency program is highly flexible allowing development in patient-centered care, practice management and leadership. The pharmacy practice model is decentralized, integrated, and supported by Epic software. Residents will gain experience in anticoagulation management, pharmacokinetics, antimicrobial stewardship, central pharmacy processes, quality improvement, policy development, participation in medical emergencies and patient education. Residents will also gain experience through committee involvement, medication use evaluations, educational programs, interaction with pharmacy students, staffing and completing a research project.
As a pharmacy resident, you’ll receive:
An annual stipend of $50,000
Health and dental insurance
Paid time off equivalent of 1.0 FTE pharmacist
Reimbursement of membership dues for American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and Minnesota Society of Health-System Pharmacists (MSHP)
Travel allowance and professional days for the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting, MSHP Midyear Clinical Meeting, and Midwest Pharmacy Residency Conference
To qualify for the Essentia Health Pharmacy Residency, you must:
Hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
