The goal of the residency is to provide a comprehensive program with an emphasis on transitions of care. This residency program uses a hands-on approach to incorporate both outpatient and inpatient pharmacist skills to provide its resident with clinical and practical experience. Ambulatory care clinical training includes anticoagulation management, immunization clinics, Heart Failure clinics, and COPD clinics. Acute care clinical training areas include internal medicine, cardiology, and emergency medicine. Longitudinal rotations include medication reconciliation, discharge counseling, and retail staffing. Residents will complete a teaching certificate course, a major research project, and a medication-use evaluation.
