PGY1 pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
Option care is a national provider of specialty infusion services. Through a footprint of ~88 branch and specialty pharmacies, Option Care offers adult and pediatric patients an alternative to hospitalization for comprehensive infusion services in alternate sites of care, such as patient homes or our ambulatory infusion suites. This residency targets the development of clinical practice, pharmacy operations and management expertise, and the provision of infusion services to home and ambulatory patients. It prepares residents to practice in and manage infusion pharmacies. For the 2019-2020 cycle, we have 9 PGY1 positions available in seven service markets.
