As an InpatientMedicine unit at Vanderbilt Medical Center, we are dedicated to our patients byproviding quality care with attention to clinical expertise, evidence-basedpractice, patient safety and positive outcomes. We utilize aninterdisciplinary team approach along the continuum of care in an effort toprovide balance for the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs forevery patient and their family. Our interdisciplinary team consists ofphysicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists,dieticians, nursing leadership, and educators. We make a difference!
As Vanderbilt University Medical Center continues togrow, we are launching a new unit for our Adult Hospital.The new unit will be located on the 8thfloor of Medical Center East.We carefor adults and geriatric patients.Services include, but are not limited to care of adult patients with avariety of medical diagnoses of the pulmonary system, gastrointestinal system,renal system, endocrine system, infectious diseases, circulatory system,neurological system, dermatological disorders, and rheumatologic disorders.
37-bed unit comprised of 7 Observation and 30 Medicine and/or Cardiac Medicine Step-down beds to become the largest unit in the adult hospital.
Patient to Nurse Ratio is 4:1.
Bariatric capable lifts in every room.
Supports thedelivery of patient care by providing clerical and receptionist services topatients, families, visitors, staff, physicians, departments that supportpatient care, and all other customers of a Patient Care Unit with regularguidance.Facilitates efficientworkflow, supports appropriate use of technology, and fosters effectivecommunication.For more informationregarding the physical requirements and environmental conditions for this job,please click here.
