Gynecologic Oncology Faculty Position at Fox Chase Cancer Center

The Fox Chase Cancer Center is currently recruiting a full-time academic Gynecologic Oncologist to join the Division of Gynecologic Oncology and Department of Surgery. The Division currently employs four full-time fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologists whose practice includes surgery and chemotherapy for the treatment of gynecologic malignancies and complex benign disease.

The ideal candidate is board-eligible or board-certified who has completed a gynecologic oncology fellowship and who has a specific interest in growing a practice. The candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of the medical literature and have academic interests. The position involves building a busy clinical practice with time protected for academic activities. The practice is supported by Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. The applicant must have a commitment to teaching gynecologic oncology fellows, and OB/GYN residents from Temple University and Einstein Medical Center.

The Fox Chase Cancer Center is one of only two NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in Philadelphia. It is one of the nation’s oldest cancer centers and is a high-volume tertiary and quaternary referral center for both routine and highly complex cancer cases. It is a self-contained 100-bed CoC- with a commitment to teaching and advancement of the cancer field, with fellowships in Breast Surgery, Complex General Surgical Oncology, Plastics Microsurgery, Advanced Minimally-Invasive Thoracic Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, Urological Oncology, Head and Neck Surgery, Hematology- Oncology, Surgical Pathology, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, among other training programs. Surgical residents from multiple institutions, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, medical students, physician assistant students, and others, are important parts of the team.
