The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking candidates for a pediatric palliative care physician faculty position to join the existing pediatric palliative care team with clinical time split between palliative care and another specialty or general pediatrics. Our vibrant, multidisciplinary team provides inpatient and outpatient consultation for patients cared for throughout the institution, as well as medical direction for patients supported by nursing care in the home. We are a teaching service for fellows, residents, medical students, and interdisciplinary students with an active research program. The position could be split with another pediatric subspecialty or with a general pediatrics hospitalist position, depending on the candidate’s training and expertise. Academic affiliation is with the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, with rank and track dependent on the candidate’s background.
Minimum requirements include fellowship training and board certification or eligibility in hospice and palliative medicine and board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics or a Pediatric subspecialty as well as eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure.
